Microneedling, also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy, is a treatment that uses small needles to create tiny punctures in the skin. This encourages the body to heal and renew the skin cells, leading to the production of collagen and elastin for a plumping effect. It’s beneficial for dull skin, wrinkles, scarring, and pigmentation issues.

What is it?

Microneedling, a form of collagen induction therapy, involves the use of small needles to create micro-punctures in the skin. This stimulates the body’s natural healing process, leading to the production of collagen and elastin. The result is a plumping effect that addresses dull skin, wrinkles, scarring, and pigmentation issues.

How does it work?

Tiny punctures created during Microneedling trigger the body’s healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production. This natural process rejuvenates the skin, improving its texture, reducing scarring, and enhancing overall appearance.

What are the benefits?

  • Rejuvenation: Revitalises tired and dull skin.
  • Collagen Production: Reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Scar Improvement: Improves scarring from acne or chickenpox.
  • Pigmentation Correction: Fades dark patches caused by pigmentation, sun damage, or ageing.
  • Suitability: Suitable for darker skin, avoiding pigmentation issues associated with peels or lasers.

What areas can and cannot be treated?

This treatment covers areas like the face, brows, neck, abdomen, and above the knees. It helps with things like crow’s feet, jowls, and jawline.

But, don’t use it if you have active acne, rosacea, or other inflammations. Also, skip it over open wounds or if you have scleroderma, certain heart issues, blood clotting problems, active infections, or a weak immune system. And, it’s a no-go for pregnant or nursing women. We aim for safe and effective treatments!

How often should you have micro needling?

It’s recommended that microneedling treatments can be safely done about once a month or every 4 to 6 weeks.

How long will the results last?

In general, you can enjoy the results for around three to five months. How long it lasts depends on two things: how well the new collagen sticks around in your skin and how much your skin needs the help.

How long after will I see the results?

You’ll likely see your skin getting better just one week after our treatment. First, your skin tone improves, acne becomes less visible, and your skin feels smoother.

For the full glow-up, it takes about four to six weeks. Your body needs this time to make more collagen, heal those tiny wounds, and give you the best results. So, get ready for positive changes!
